By car

Driving around Czech republic is generally without any problems. Czechs are good and responsible drivers so you don’t have to be afraid. However, you can face problems with parking, especially in bigger cities. If you want to use highways, remember to buy a vignette. Also keep in mind that unlike some other European countries, there is zero alcohol tolerance in the Czech republic.

By train

You can get by train to almost every village in the Czech republic. So if you are an adventurer, this could be something for you. There are some very modern trains running between bigger cities but you will encounter old and sometimes rather shabby carriages in the countryside. You can buy tickets online or at almost every train station. If you want to save some money, it is a good idea to travel in a group – you can get quite nice discount.

Public transport in cities

You can easily travel by public transport in bigger cities. There are usually city buses or trams and in Prague you can find also the underground. The prices are reasonable so it shouldn’t be a problem for you to use it and save some energy for discovering a number of beautiful sights.
